Description

HiPP Organic Goat Milk • From Birth • Made in Germany

When Your Newborn Needs Something
Gentler Than Cow Milk

HiPP Goat PRE is built on one foundational idea: newborns deserve the cleanest, most digestible nutrition from their very first day. Organic A2 goat milk protein, lactose as the only carbohydrate, and not a trace of starch or maltodextrin. This is what breast milk-inspired formula looks like.

From Birth A2 Goat Milk Protein Lactose Only No Starch DHA 13.2mg + ARA 13.2mg EU Organic + HiPP Bio Seal

Why Parents Choose HiPP Goat PRE

A2 Protein

Nature's Gentler Protein Structure

Goat milk contains A2 beta-casein, the same protein type found in human breast milk. It forms a softer curd in the stomach than standard cow milk A1 protein, making it faster and easier to digest. For newborns with fussy tummies, this difference is felt within days.

Lactose Only

No Starch, No Fillers, No Shortcuts

Lactose is the primary carbohydrate in breast milk, and it is the only carbohydrate in HiPP Goat PRE. There is no starch, no maltodextrin, no corn syrup. This mirrors the simplicity of breast milk and keeps the formula gentle on a newborn's still-developing digestive system.

DHA 13.2mg

Brain and Vision From Day One

Both DHA (13.2mg) and ARA (13.2mg) per 100ml are included at equal levels. These long-chain fatty acids naturally present in breast milk are essential for neurological development and visual acuity during the first months of life, when the brain grows fastest.

GOS 0.3g

Prebiotic Foundation for Gut Health

Prebiotic galactooligosaccharides sourced from organic lactose support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. A well-balanced gut microbiome from the very beginning is one of the strongest foundations for a healthy immune system through childhood and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes goat milk different from cow milk formula?

Goat milk contains A2 beta-casein protein, the same protein structure found in human breast milk. It forms a softer, looser curd in the stomach compared to the A1 beta-casein in most cow milk formulas, which means it passes through the digestive system more quickly and comfortably. Many parents whose babies struggled with standard cow milk formula report noticeably improved digestion, less bloating, and calmer feeding sessions within a short time of switching.

Is HiPP Goat PRE suitable for babies with cow milk protein allergy (CMPA)?

No. HiPP Goat PRE is not a hypoallergenic formula and is not suitable for babies with a diagnosed cow milk protein allergy or lactose intolerance. The goat milk proteins are structurally different from cow milk but are not hydrolyzed, meaning they can still trigger a reaction in truly allergic infants. If your baby has confirmed CMPA, HiPP Hypoallergenic (HA) formula would be the appropriate choice. Always consult your pediatrician before switching formulas.

Why does HiPP Goat PRE not contain probiotics?

HiPP Goat PRE includes GOS prebiotic fiber but does not contain the live bacterial cultures (probiotics) found in the cow milk COMBIOTIK range. The goat milk formula range focuses on the naturally gentle protein structure and clean carbohydrate profile of goat milk as its primary digestive support. If your priority is a formula with both pre- and probiotics, HiPP German Cow PRE or Stage 1 COMBIOTIK would be the alternative to consider.

How long does one 400g box last?

One box yields approximately 22 bottles of 5oz. In the newborn stage with 7 to 8 feeds per day, one box lasts roughly 2.5 to 3 days. By months 3 to 4, with 5 feeds per day at larger volumes, a box typically lasts 4 to 5 days. Most parents order 8 to 12 boxes at a time to avoid running low. Once opened, the powder should be used within 3 weeks.

When should I transition to HiPP Goat Stage 2?

HiPP Goat PRE is designed for birth through 6 months as the sole source of nutrition or alongside breastfeeding. Once your baby begins solid foods, typically around 6 months with your pediatrician's guidance, you can transition to HiPP Goat Stage 2. Stage 2 is formulated to complement solid food feeding with a higher iron level, increased GOS prebiotics, and adapted mineral levels for this new developmental phase.

How do I read the expiration date on the box?

HiPP uses the European date format DD/MM/YYYY. A date printed as 08/03/2026 means the 8th of March 2026, not the 3rd of August. All boxes shipped from Infantiz carry a minimum of 6 months shelf life from the date of dispatch, so you can stock up with confidence.

Important Notice: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. This formula is intended as a supplement to or replacement for breastfeeding when needed. Please consult your pediatrician before introducing any formula, especially if your baby has known food sensitivities or allergies. HiPP Goat PRE is not suitable for babies with cow milk protein allergy (CMPA) or lactose intolerance. This product is manufactured to meet EU standards, which may differ from US dietary recommendations. Prepared formula should be used immediately and never stored or reheated. The date on the packaging is printed in European format DD/MM/YYYY.

Advantages
A2 goat protein made an immediate difference for our son who had reflux symptoms, no additives we could not recognize, ships fast and arrives fresh
Disadvantages
It is more expensive than domestic formulas but after comparing ingredient labels side by side there really is no comparison
Comment
My wife spent weeks researching before our son arrived and HiPP Goat PRE kept coming up as the top recommendation for sensitive newborns who are not allergic but just struggle with standard cow milk. Three weeks in and we have a completely different baby. He feeds calmly, settles quickly and the reflux symptoms we saw with the first formula we tried are gone. The GOS prebiotics seem to have made a real difference to his gut comfort too. Worth every penny.

Advantages
Baby's gas and bloating disappeared within a week of switching, mixes smoothly with no clumping, the lactose only carb list gave me real peace of mind
Disadvantages
The 400g size goes fast with a newborn, we go through roughly one box every 3 days in the first weeks so ordering in bulk from the start is the smarter move
Comment
We tried two different cow milk formulas before our pediatrician suggested trying a goat milk option. The difference for our daughter was genuinely noticeable. Calmer after feeds, less drawing her legs up, better sleep stretches within the first week. The ingredient list is so clean it was almost hard to believe. No corn syrup, no starch, just what a newborn actually needs. We are staying with HiPP Goat all the way through.
