Description

HiPP Organic Goat Milk • From Birth • Made in Germany

Premium Goat Milk Formula
From the Very First Day.

HiPP Goat Stage 1 delivers the same clean, gentle nutrition that organic A2 goat milk is known for - from birth through 6 months. Lactose as the only carbohydrate, no starch, no fillers, no shortcuts. Just the foundational nutrition your newborn deserves, made to European organic standards that remain unmatched.

From Birth A2 Goat Milk Protein Lactose Only No Starch DHA 13mg GOS Prebiotics EU Organic + HiPP Bio Seal

Why Parents Choose HiPP Goat Stage 1

A2 Protein

Nature's Gentler Protein Structure

Goat milk contains A2 beta-casein, the same protein type found in human breast milk. It forms a softer curd in the stomach than the A1 protein in standard cow milk formulas, passing through the digestive system more quickly and comfortably. Parents switching from cow milk formulas consistently report reduced bloating and calmer feeding sessions within days.

Lactose Only

No Starch, No Fillers, No Shortcuts

Lactose is the primary carbohydrate in breast milk. It is the only carbohydrate in HiPP Goat Stage 1. There is no added starch, no maltodextrin, no corn syrup solids. This straightforward carbohydrate profile mirrors breast milk's simplicity and keeps every feed gentle on a newborn's still-maturing digestive system.

DHA 13mg

Brain and Vision Support From Day One

DHA (13mg per 100ml) and ARA are included at carefully balanced levels. These long-chain fatty acids, naturally present in breast milk, are essential for neurological development and visual acuity during the first months of life, when neural connections form at a rate that will never be matched again.

GOS 0.3g

Prebiotic Foundation for Gut Health

Prebiotic galactooligosaccharides sourced from organic lactose support the growth of beneficial gut bacteria from the very first feed. A balanced gut microbiome established in early infancy is one of the strongest predictors of a healthy immune system through childhood and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between HiPP Goat Stage 1 and HiPP Goat PRE?

The nutritional profile of HiPP Goat Stage 1 and HiPP Goat PRE is virtually identical. Both are suitable from birth, both use the same A2 organic goat milk protein base, both have lactose as the only carbohydrate, and both contain the same DHA, GOS prebiotics, and vitamin and mineral levels. The difference is naming convention. Some parents and markets use "Stage 1" to indicate a birth formula, while others use "PRE". The formula inside is the same clean, gentle goat milk nutrition.

What makes goat milk easier to digest than cow milk?

Goat milk contains A2 beta-casein protein, the same protein structure naturally found in human breast milk. When digested, A2 protein forms a softer, looser curd than the A1 beta-casein in most cow milk formulas. This means it moves through the stomach more quickly and gently. Many parents whose babies experienced discomfort, gas, or fussiness on cow milk formula report a significant improvement within days of switching to goat milk.

Is HiPP Goat Stage 1 suitable for babies with cow milk protein allergy?

No. This formula is not hypoallergenic and is not suitable for babies with a confirmed cow milk protein allergy (CMPA) or lactose intolerance. The goat milk proteins, while structurally different, are not hydrolyzed and may still trigger reactions in truly allergic infants. For CMPA, HiPP Hypoallergenic (HA) formula is the appropriate choice. Always consult your pediatrician before switching formulas if allergy is a concern.

Does HiPP Goat Stage 1 contain probiotics?

No. HiPP Goat Stage 1 includes GOS prebiotic fiber but does not contain live bacterial cultures (probiotics). The HiPP Goat range supports digestive health through the naturally gentle A2 protein structure and prebiotic fiber rather than added probiotics. If a formula with both pre- and probiotics is your priority, the HiPP German Cow COMBIOTIK range includes L. Fermentum Hereditum at every stage from birth.

How long does one 400g box last?

One box yields approximately 22 bottles of 5oz. In the newborn stage with 7 to 8 feeds per day, one box lasts about 2.5 to 3 days. By months 3 to 4, with 5 feeds per day at larger volumes, a box typically lasts 4 to 5 days. Most parents order 8 to 12 boxes at a time. Once opened, use the powder within 3 weeks and store in a cool, dry place.

When should I transition to HiPP Goat Stage 2?

HiPP Goat Stage 1 is designed for birth through 6 months. Once your baby begins solid foods, typically around 6 months with your pediatrician's guidance, HiPP Goat Stage 2 is the natural next step. Stage 2 is formulated with doubled iron (1.0mg), increased DHA (13.6mg), and higher GOS (0.5g) to match the nutritional demands of a rapidly growing and increasingly active baby.

How do I read the expiration date on the box?

HiPP uses the European date format DD/MM/YYYY. A date printed as 05/11/2026 means the 5th of November 2026, not the 11th of May. All boxes shipped from Infantiz carry a minimum of 6 months shelf life from the date of dispatch.

Important Notice: Breastfeeding is the best nutrition for your baby. This formula is intended as a supplement to or replacement for breastfeeding when needed. Please consult your pediatrician before introducing any formula, especially if your baby has known food sensitivities or allergies. HiPP Goat Stage 1 is not suitable for babies with cow milk protein allergy (CMPA) or lactose intolerance. This product is manufactured to EU standards, which may differ from US dietary recommendations. Prepared formula should be used immediately and never stored or reheated. The date on the packaging is printed in European format DD/MM/YYYY.

Advantages
Gentle on a sensitive stomach, baby sleeps better, no skin reactions
Disadvantages
Took about a week to fully transition from another formula, had some fussiness during the switch
Comment
We switched from another European brand when our pediatrician suggested goat milk for our son who seemed sensitive to cow milk. The transition took a few days but once he adjusted the difference was clear. Calmer, less gassy, sleeping longer stretches. Really happy with this choice.

3
Advantages
Clean ingredient list, lactose only, no corn syrup, mixes easily without clumping
Disadvantages
Price is higher than US brands but the quality difference is obvious
Comment
We wanted something close to breast milk and this checked every box. Simple ingredients, nothing unnecessary, and our son took to it immediately. Eight weeks in and he is gaining weight well with zero digestive complaints. Highly recommend for parents who want the cleanest option available.
Megan Hartley
5
Advantages
Digestion noticeably smoother than cow milk formula, no bloating, baby settled quickly
Disadvantages
Wish it came in an 800g box, goes through it fast in the first weeks
Comment
Our daughter had a rough start with a standard cow milk formula so we switched to HiPP Goat Stage 1 at week two. Within days the gassiness was gone and feeding sessions became calm again. We are on our third box now and she is thriving. Would not go back.

5
Advantages
Lactose only carbohydrate was the deciding factor, no fillers, GOS prebiotics a nice bonus
Disadvantages
Price is higher than domestic brands but worth it for the ingredient quality
Comment
My wife and I spent a lot of time comparing formula ingredient lists before our daughter was born. Most US options contain corn syrup solids or maltodextrin. HiPP Goat Stage 1 has neither. Just lactose, goat milk, and the essentials. That simplicity was exactly what we were looking for.

5
Advantages
Digestion improved within the first week, no more gas or straining, clean ingredient list
Disadvantages
Only comes in 400g, wish there was a larger box
Comment
We switched from a US cow milk formula at 3 weeks because our son was clearly uncomfortable after every feed. Within a week on HiPP Goat Stage 1 the difference was noticeable. No more crying after bottles. We are now on our fifth order and will stay with this until he transitions to Stage 2.
