Jovie is designed for babies who experience mild digestive sensitivity or discomfort on cow's milk formula, not for confirmed allergies. Why does Jovie use weight-based dosing instead of age?

Newborns vary widely in size and appetite, so Jovie bases their feeding guide on baby's current weight rather than age alone. This gives you a more accurate starting point for the right amount of formula. As a general guide, babies typically need around 150ml of prepared formula per kilogram of body weight per day - but always follow your pediatrician's specific guidance.

What makes Jovie different from other goat milk formulas like Holle Goat?

The most significant difference is the fat source. Jovie uses natural milk fat from whole goat's milk - without any palm oil. Holle Goat contains organic palm oil in its fat blend. Jovie also skips maltodextrin entirely, making its carbohydrate profile simpler. How long does one 800g box last?

At the 6-scoop preparation (200ml per bottle), one 800g box makes approximately 53 bottles. For a newborn having 6-7 feeds per day, that typically lasts 7-9 days. As your baby grows and feed frequency decreases, one box will stretch to 10-12 days. We recommend keeping 3-4 boxes in stock to maintain a comfortable buffer between international shipments.

Does Jovie Stage 1 contain probiotics?

No - Jovie Stage 1 does not contain added probiotics (live cultures). It does contain GOS prebiotic fiber (0.4g per 100ml), which nourishes existing beneficial gut bacteria. This is different from probiotic supplementation. Parents who want additional probiotic support can discuss a separate pediatric probiotic supplement with their pediatrician.

Can I use Jovie Stage 1 alongside breastfeeding?

Yes. Jovie Stage 1 works well as a supplement to breast milk. Prepare the formula as directed and offer it after a breastfeed or as a standalone feed.
